OXBOND Mold Release Wax are classified as a non-hazardous, premium blend of imported waxes specially formulated to provide the maximum number of releases per application.
OXBOND Mold Release Wax are formulated to provide the applicator the easiest to use wipe on and wipe off experience allowing the optimum thickness of wax on the mold surface.
Product Usage Instruction
1. For highest quality parts, proceed with progressive abrasives up to P2500 followed by OXBOND Medium-Cut Cleaner1.0, Machine Glaze3.0, and OXBOND Mold Cleaner followed by 1 or 2 applications of OXBOND Mold Sealer.
2. For best results, use an applicator sponge to apply and a micro fiber towel to wipe off.
3. For new molds or plugs apply 3 to 6 coats of OXBOND Mold Release Wax allowing each coat to haze up before wiping off with a microfiber towel. The sooner the wax is removed after hazing the easier it is to remove.
4. Allow 15-30 minutes between applications/coats.
5. If OXBOND Mold Release Wax is being used on a new mold or plug, it is recommended that PVA be used over the OXBOND Mold Release Wax for the first 1 or 2 molding cycles.
6. After the first 2 molding cycles, apply 1 more coat of OXBOND Mold Release Wax. Under optimal conditions it is now possible to achieve multiple releases before a new application of OXBOND Mold Release Wax is required.
